Kitchen Cabinets Built to Last
Framed Showplace Cabinetry is KCMA-certified, and passes the toughest tests of durability and performance in the marketplace today. These independent tests evaluate:
Cabinet Structure -- loading cabinet shelving with 15 pounds per square foot, gradually loading mounted cabinets to 500 pounds, and dropping a three-pound weight at six inches above the cabinet bottom to evaluate the overall strength and durability.
Drawer Operation – cycling drawers 25,000 times fully-loaded with 15 pounds per square inch.
Door Operation – opening and closing cabinet doors 25,000 times and testing their ability to withstand 65 pounds of hanging weight.
Cabinetry Finish – exposing cabinets to stain threats like vinegar, grape juice, coffee, alcohol, and even mustard for varying amounts of time to ensure any discoloration can be easily cleaned without any lasting damage.
Temperature – placing cabinets in a humid heat-box for 24 hours at 120-degrees to ensure no finish blistering or discoloration.
So with Showplace Cabinetry passing each of these tests, you can be confident your new kitchen cabinets will withstand the rigors of daily life. To understand just how tough these tests are, follow this link to learn more.
I am so glad I chose Midwest Kitchens to do our kitchen remodel. David was so easy to work with. He made good suggestions to get me thinking of how I wanted the finished kitchen to look and work. I knew I wanted to replace the upper cabinets so that I could go much higher but after talking to David, I decided to replace all my cabinets because I wanted to get full overlay doors.Mike really is a master craftsman and made everything come together beautifully. He cleaned everything up every single day and didn't even mind the interruptions as we continued to use our refrigerator and parts of the kitchen. And it only took our kitchen 2 weeks to be completed!I love my kitchen!

Great experience with Midwest Kitchens at every step in the process. Install team was awesome.

We contacted with Midwest Kitchens to reface the 34 year old cabinets in our kitchen and two bathrooms. We had three bids to do the work and were concerned about what to expect. It is difficult to visualize what the end product is going to actually look like. We chose Midwest Kitchens because David was so through with explaining how each step would go. His price was competitive but more importantly we were convinced that the job would be completed in an efficient and professional manner. We can not say enough about Mike who installed the cabinets. He is a true artist who always strives for perfection. We are absolutely thrilled with how our kitchen and bathrooms look. It feels like a new house. We would highly recommend Midwest Kitchens to anyone looking to remodel.

My husband and I spent several months collecting thoughts and ideas for a kitchen remodel and were looking for the right company to help us turn those ideas into reality. When we met with David of Midwest Kitchens, he listened to us, offered suggestions and gave us options regarding refacing our cabinets vs installing new cabinets. Ultimately, it made more sense to install new cabinets and David worked with us to maintain our budget and get the kitchen of our dreams. David, along with his team, Mike and Gene, were professional and very detail oriented which gave me confidence that things were being done well. They thought of all the small details I worried about and their work was meticulous. The final project exceeds all of our expectations and we are very happy we chose Midwest Kitchens!

As a retirement gift to ourselves we contracted with Midwest Kitchens LLC to do a complete remodel of our kitchen. We had a good idea of what we wanted, but David honed the ideas from our sketches to make the finished product unique, such as suggesting the Autumn stain with an Ebony glaze. We chose quarter sawn oak for a rustic, yet classic and elegant look, and liked natural granite for the counters. We wanted additional pantry storage, roll out shelves everywhere, a cook top with outdoor venting, wall ovens and a large island to gather around in a casual and comfortable setting.David and his crew Mike, and Gene, were excellent to work with. They were always polite, and on time. They were meticulously precise with details and finish work. These gents held a sense of pride in their workmanship, just as if they were working on their own kitchen. The kitchen was cleaned daily when they were done. Floors were protected, zip walls were in place to confine and minimize dust. They responded to concerns and suggestions made, like installing under and over cabinet lighting, which really provides a functional and dramatic look, that we like.We are very pleased with our new kitchen and highly recommend Midwest Kitchens LLC. “Nailed it”!Joe & Kathy Stadler

I used Midwest Kitchen for a full kitchen remodel and could not be happier. Everything went smoothly from the planning to the actual work. David was great to work with – he was responsive to my calls and questions and was extremely organized in making sure everything went as planned. I liked their setup of being able to go out to the place of my choosing and pick out certain items such as the back splash, sink, and faucet.Mike and Gene did the installation – they were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Their work was meticulous with a lot of attention to detail. It’s obvious they have been doing this a long time. I am so impressed with the end results – my kitchen looks stunning! If you are looking to have any work done on your kitchen, I would highly recommend this company!

A fantastic group of people to work with from top to bottom. I initially went into my cabinet refacing project with no idea where to begin or what I wanted, but fortunately David was able to help me narrow my selections down to what would look best in my kitchen without having to tear everything apart and re-do everything else. Mike and Gene's craftsmanship in putting everything together and making it look exactly as I had hoped leaves me with no second guessing about doing something completely different. I would happily rehire everyone for my next project without a single doubt in mind.

The MK team approaches every aspect of the refacing process with absolute professionalism and I am delighted with the result. Dave was completely at ease with my lengthy decision-making process and offered many samples (and yet new ones as I changed my mind) as well as great insights based on his experience. The install team, Mike and Gene, are perfectionists, there was no dust in the rest of the house, and each evening they left the kitchen accessible. The install was done in a week and the refaced cabinets are beautiful. MK refaced a different kitchen for me around 2001, which prompted me to call them—I was so pleased to learn that the same team is still working together. They sure delivered the polished results I hoped for.

I hired Midwest Kitchens to reface my kitchen that was botched with a horrible paint job. They were so professional. Very clean - every night the kitchen was vacuumed and usable. Work was done on time and with frequent updates as to the status of the project. I really enjoyed working with Midwest Kitchens, and I would absolutely use them again.

I can't say enough good things about this company! They made refacing my kitchen and powder room cabinets easy. Mike and Gene were so meticulous in their work and kept dust from going all over as well as protecting my appliances and floors. They were always on time and worked very hard to get my job done. David helped me pick colors and was so kind and easy to work with from the start. I am so impressed with the beauty of my new cabinets as well as the people who I trusted in my home!

When I first contacted David at Midwest Kitchens, I intended to have our kitchen cabinets refaced. After looking at them, though, he said that they really just needed to be painted and have new hinges. I was able to find a good painter, and, when the cabinets were finished, Mike installed them and replaced the drawer tracks, too. He completed them all quickly and professionally. Mike is a cabinet wizard! In the end this job was a very insignificant one for MIdwest Kitchens, but it meant everything to me. For years I had a kitchen that didn’t work exactly right and didn’t look the way I thought it should. Now it is beautiful and functional, and I am proud of it. Thanks to David for his initial honest advice on what should be done and especially for following through.

I had Midwest Kitchens and a few other companies give me a bid on a total kitchen remodel last spring. Dave came out and spent a lot of time looking at my kitchen and asking questions about my vision. He asked pointed questions about the way I used my kitchen, why I was set on certain things, (double ovens, for example, "because my mother had them" was my response) and suggested alternatives that not only made more sense but also saved me money. He provided samples of cabinetry and gave me lots of options of where to select other things like counter tops, tile and flooring. He returned at least two more times to measure after providing the bid. He knows the neighborhood and the market and I felt like he listened to me and did his best to make sure I got the kitchen I wanted so I signed a contract.I am SO glad I did. From start to finish the project went according to plan and was finished in three weeks, just like David said. Mike was here every day, was professional, hard-working and a meticulous perfectionist. He found and corrected problems that had either been missed or ignored by previous owners and which could easily have turned in to safety issues. He took the time to explain everything he was doing. He was extremely neat and protected my home, appliances and furnishings from noise, dust, and foot traffic by using a back entrance, even though it resulted in many more steps for him.The finished product was much better than I could have imagined. The transformation is stunning and, well, absolutely perfect. On time, on budget and perfect. I could not be happier and would recommend this company and Dave and Mike to anyone who wants a local, family-owned company that is totally honest, very easy to work with, and does amazing work.PS --I took Dave's advice and got a slide-in range--and it has two ovens, plus I got more counter space. 😎

We had MIdwest Kitchens reface our kitchen cupboards and drawers 5+ years ago. It still looks current and up to date. We had them modify a lower cabinet for a beverage cooler. People are so surprised to see this feature since our home is over 20 years old. Mike handled the install of our refacing and his work is impeccable. David was extremely helpful when it came to picking out the counter tops and stain color for our cupboards and drawers. The whole process was easy and stress free. This company stands behind their work. In fact, when David came to see the finished job, he wasn't happy with the way our pantry door closed so he readjusted it himself.( We had not noticed anything needing attention) David and Micheal and all the vendors they work with are top notch, hard working and incredibly nice.

I highly recommend Midwest Kitchens for your kitchen project. David Williams and Mike were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. The job started on time and was completed on time, as promised. They took very good care of us and our home, listening to what we wanted and offering great suggestions along the way. Mike is amazing at what he does. He is a perfectionist and treated our kitchen as if it was his home. I interviewed several contractors about our kitchen. We are so fortunate that we selected Midwest Kitchens for the job. I would not hesitate to use them again!

We hired Midwest Kitchens to replace our countertops & backsplash, sink & faucet, in January 2019! The whole process, from David giving us an estimate, choosing materials, through the completed job was a very happy experience. David & Mike we’re both great, from demolition, protecting the wood floors, moving appliances, preparation, installation, and replacing everything. We’re very pleased with the pricing, and the beautiful new granite, tile, sink & faucet. I highly recommend David & Midwest Kitchens!

We used Midwest to do a kitchen upgrade in late 2014. David was great to work with and communicated well throughout the project. He helped us make our "vision" become a reality. Since the work was completed we have gotten many compliments. Highly recommend them.
